I'm thinking of starting on Dr Myhill's Sunshine Salt but just noticed it includes iodine. I have Hashimotos thyroiditis, and am a little worried about the iodine - should I be? Does anyone who is hypothyroid use it?

Opinions on iodine vary vastly. To get an overall view and make up your own mind, type Iodine into the Search window at the top of the page.
My own view is that I wouldn't take that concoction, iodine or no iodine - and I certainly wouldn't take it with iodine! I do not like these mixtures of... stuff. I find the description of the product rather confusing. It says to take one rounded tsp a day, and the pot lasts for 60 days, but it does not say if the quantities of vitamins and minerals are in the list, are for the whole pot, or one tsp. If it's the whole pot, there's not enough of anything to help. If it's for one tsp, I think there is too much of some things.
Vitamins and minerals only help if you need to take them. And you can't know that without getting them tested. Do you really need 5000 mcg vit B12? Do you need any copper at all? Hypos are usually high in copper, and don't need to take more. No, I'm really not convinced by this. It's basically just a mult-vit with added salt. Besides, you wouldn't be able to use any at breakfast, if you took your levo an hour before...
OK ,must have seen her name on here a few times.
