Sore Bloodshot eyes

Hi, Please could I have some advice?

I have Hypo/Hashimotos, during the last four days I have developed really sore bloodshot eyes with very slight yellowing of inside corners of the eye. There is no weeping or infection, this may sound like a strange description but my eyes have a "dead look" about them and I do not look like myself atall. I'm thinking possibly TED but I thought that was mainly a symptom Graves/Hyper. I am seeing my new endocronologist in ten days time and cant get an appointment with GP until the end of the week.

Any views would be most welcome.

It sounds like it may be mild conjunctavitis. Ask your pharmacist to have a look.

Hi Clutter,

Many thanks for your reply. Pharmacist was not very helpful but did see an optician an hour ago, she confirmed there was no infection and she said she thinks it may be to do with my thyroid/hormones. I am seeing Endo. next week so maybe he can throw some light on it.

Have you had thyroid levels checked or are you waiting for endo to do them?

Hi Clutter,

I had blood tests for thyroid levels (TSH & T4) yesterday, I get the results at the end of the week and will print off for new Endo on Wednesday.
