To Clutter and everyone else that responded to my "T3" post, I must apologise - I just couldn't work out how to reply to your responses. No matter how I tried, it wouldn't let me comment on your replies, and now it seems as if my post has disappeared, I can't find it anywhere!
Apologies: To Clutter and everyone else that... - Thyroid UK
Apologies
Patsy64,
I sent you a private message explaining why I had to delete your original post. I invited you to repost including recent thyroid results and ranges because members are more likely to respond to requests where to source T3 if a new member provides a little background.

Thank you Clutter, I will ask my doctor for a copy of my results and repost when I have received them.
When you have bloods taken for thyroid hormones, it has to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and if taking levothyroxine or other thyroid hormones, allow a gap of 24 hours approx between last dose and test and take afterwards. Thyroid hormones should be taken on an empty stomach with one full glass of water.
This method keeps the TSH at its highest as doctors seem to only refer to the result of the TSH and may adjust dose unnecessarily.
Thank you Shaws and this is what happened to me last year, I didn't know anything about leaving my thyroxine till after my blood test and my doctor did alter my dose from 100mg to 75mg I started getting sinus headaches again and was sleeping till dinner time but when I told my doctor this she said it must be something other than my Thyroid because my TSH was spot on.
