My husband has been showing symptoms of low thyroid - fatigue, weight increase, tinnitus (for a very long time) and dizziness. I made him do a blood test which he was reluctant to do - but the results show he has issues.
I know he doesn't want to take a pill forever- should we wait a couple of months and retest or accept that he too has hypothyroidism?
Thanks very much

No one wants to take a pill everyday but there's no alternative when thyroid levels are low. I would show the results to your GP because TSH is high and FT4 bottom of range. Some GPs won't accept private tests and like to waste NHS resources by ordering their own blood tests. Some won't act on the first abnormal TSH result and repeat 2-3 months later when non-thyroidal illness which can elevate TSH is expected to have resolved.
Thyroid antibodies are negative for autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's).
