I haven't had the same symptoms, but it wouldn't surprise me if you have them because you are under-medicated. 50 mcg is just a starter dose. What reason did your doctor give you for refusing to increase it? Do you have a copy of your latest labs? If not, ask for a print-out. If you live in the UK, it is your legal right to have one.
Learn about your disease, read as much as you can. Challenge your doctor. If she sees you know what you're talking about, she's less likely to try and fob you off with rubbish.
2.7 is too high. Once you are on thyroid hormone replacement, the TSH should be one or under. The range is for diagnosing,. Once you are treated you shouldn't be dosed by the TSH. Your doctor doesn't know much about thyroid, does she. I think you are going to have to insist.
Or, if all they are willing to test is the TSH, get a private test. You need :
TSH
FT4
FT3
TPOab
TgAB
vit D
vit B12
folate
ferritin
Once you've got all that, post the results on here, and people will explain them to you. Then, you can go back to your GP with a knowledgeable request for an increase. You'll end up knowing much more than her!
Details of private tests on the Thyroid UK main page.
I asked if i could have the other tests and they said they only do the TSH unless its out of range (which it was when i was diagnosed) and then they do T4 as well
