Welcome to our forum, but you haven't given any history in your Profile. Are you hypothyroid/hyperthyroid? Have you been prescribed replacement thyroid hormones?
I am sorry I cannot answer your question but others who know will do so when they read your question.
Hello & thank you Shaws. Im not very techy & missed where to put that. Yes, Im officially hypo - definately Hashi girl - on a good note- new labs show a reducion of microsomal antibodies drop ( feb2013 - 887.8 and present may2017 - 426.9) no doubt, dietary changes help!
Thanks very much Yes, you're right dietary changes can reduce antibodies.
When you have blood tests they should be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a 24 hour gap between your last dose of levo and the test and take afterwards (if you don't do that already). This helps to prevent GP adjussting dose unnecessarily.
Levothyroxine should be taken first thing with one full glass of water and wait about an hour before eating. You can also take it at bedtime if you prefer but you miss the night dose and take after blood test and night dose ast usual time.
Always get a print-out of your results with the ranges for your own records and you can post if you have a query.
Wonderful! Many thanks!!!!!!!
Also if your B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate haven't been checked asked for these at your next blood test.
