Feeling baffled

Initially saw Gp with symptoms of tiredness weight gain itchy skin and excess urination. Bloods showed TSH was 0.05 last week positive perioxase antibodies but normal t4 became very symptomatic at the weekend really agitated/panicky . Started on carbimazole 5mg however had bloods taken before starting drugs these results tsh t4 t3 all normal. Symptoms have also resolved thank goodness.

GP has spoken to endocrinologist and advice has been to stop carbimazole and repeat bloods in 4/6 weeks and to be seen in clinic whenever I get an appointment.

GP can't explain what has happened

If you have high TPO antibodies, you have Hashi's. Levels can jump around when you have Hashi's.

Well, as you don't give actual numbers or dates, I don't know how quick it was.

Not what you're looking for?
