Welcome to our forum emmysue,
First, it is a big learning curve for us when trying to recover some sort of normal health.
When you give results, we need to also know the ranges (these figures are in brackets) but I will have a guess at present with your posting.
TSH is 1.2 which would be classed as normal but some of us need it to be lower. Free T4 at 1.7 seems quite low and should be be towards the upper part of the range.
Muscles hurting would seem to me you also have a low Free T3.
When taking replacement thyroid hormones, the ideal is a TSH of 1 or below, A Free T4 and Free T3 towards the upper part of the range.
If it is possible to get a print-out from your surgery tomorrow, with the ranges, post on a new question for comments.
When you have a test for thyroid hormones, it has to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours from your last dose of levo and the test and take afterwards.
You also need B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate too. GP should do these if you haven't had them taken. If GP wont do all of the thyroid hormones, and you can afford it, we have recommended labs who will do so and I'll give you a link just in case.

Levothyroxine is T4 only. It has to convert to T3 (the only active hormone required in our billions of receptor cells). T4 is inactive.
You don't need all of these every time but now and then if you have clinical symptoms.
TSH, T4, T3, Free T4 and Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. GP should do vitamins/minerals.
Always get a print-out from the surgery with the ranges and post for comments.
My FT4 is high lab shows 1.5 T4 is high lab shows 11.7
Both show high out of range
