Repeating myself as copied from my reply to your other post:
When I did the Barnes basal body temperature test for 4 months, prior to taking THs, my morning temperature before self-medicating with NDT was 35.1 degrees celcius, most days. It was occasionally as high as 35.3. Now my normal is usually 36.1-36.3, occasionaly higher, so I assume that's my normal, 36.7 being average.
How you feel could be more important than comparitive numbers.
I started on 1/4 grain & increased every 2 weeks, knowing it would take more than a week for the T4 to convert to T3. If you've increased by a higher dose, & more frequently, it could kick in all at once. Don't want to p*ss on your chips, but perhaps slow & steady could prevent you having an issue with rT3.
You could just switch (& you'd get plenty of good guidance on here), but if I were you I'd do a private blood test of your TSH, T4, T3 & Reverse T3
That will give you hard copy evidence of what's going on. You can then take that to your GP in future (when you're thriving on NDT) & ask for them to prescribe you.
I used Blue Horizons. Really useful, because it showed that 150mcg Levo didn't increase my T3 at all (not even 0.01) & my Reverse T3 was high.
It enabled me to go to my GP & even though I don't think he knew what rT3 is, he was onboard when I said I preferred to go private (no way am I having some Endo spout BS). In a year's time, if I'm feeling brilliant & my bloods look great, I can ask him to take over my NDT supply.
Hi my bbt was routinely below 36 degrees upon waking prior to thyroid meds. Now I'm 36.4-36.6, raising and falling a little with my menstrual cycle. I monitored the bbt closely as I addend in T3 but it hasn't affected it which I think is reassuring. I also measure my blood pressure which has also stayed low throughout the adding of Levo and then T3.
