Kazbar-70,

See your GP about the shoulder and elbow joint pain if it persists.

You may be overmedicated on 20mg if you are sleeping a lot. Ask your GP to do a thyroid function test.

Went to hospital for 6 week check about medication. Told them my symptoms I was having. Anyway blood test from last week couldn't see. So no further forward. Told me he'd be I touch for appt. Mentioned about having iodine injections. He did say I'd either go back to normal with this treatment or underactive and have medication for the rest of my life. I told him I need to research more before I make any hasty decisions. Don't know enough about Graves. Nearly 9pm and I've already started going to sleep. Fed up. Doing more blood tests on everything to see if they are missing anything. Didn't get to see my specialist just his understudy.😣

Kazbar-70,

It's a good idea to get into the habit of asking for blood test results and ranges to montor how you feel against various doses. Most people will take Carbimazole for 12-18 months before weaning off to try for remission. It is premature to consider radioactive iodine (RAI) when you are newly diagnosed.

That's what I thought. Thank you for your input. Hopefully I just need dose lowering we'll see

Got my results off doctors today. You were right. Overmediciated he thinks not definate though toll I get bk to hospital. Awaiting a call. TSH is 13.8 should be under 4. And T4 is 8.01.

Kazbar-70,

Very overmedicated. TSH should generally be between 1-2. FT4 8.01 is low which is why TSH is high.
