I take an awful lot of tablets during the day,I was just wondering if it's ok to take levothyroxine before bed ,as this is the only time I don't take any other meds.
Thanks in advance for any advice

When I was on levo I actually found it to be more effective taken at bedtime!
I take LT4 first thing in the morning one hour before calcium/iron intake , never tried it at night as I suffer from insomnia - some GPs say as it effects metabolism so LT4 should not be taken at night, however if your sleep is not disturbed and this is the best time to avoid dietary and other medication contraindications then try it out!
One of the first positive effects of levothyroxine was improved sleep. Whereas I had been falling asleep then waking after a short time, or not even falling asleep, I found myself much improved. Rarely have any issues now.
I have always taken my levothyroxine at bed time.
amasufindme It's always recommended on here to take iron 4 hours away from Levo.
From livestrong.com/article/5111...
"Iron can compromise the absorption of levothyroxine. For this reason, take your iron supplement either 4 hours before or after taking the drug."
Similarly, calcium should be taken a couple of hours away from Levo.
It's fine to take a bedtime dose, just remember stomach has to be empty so I'd leave about 2.5 hours after eating as our digestion is slow. Some take it in the middle of the night if they go to toilet.
I started off taking mine in the morning but felt awful, so I now take mine last thing at nite, so I can't see any problem with you taking it at nite.
Hope that helps you

Thanks for all the help and advice
It isbest to take thyroxine on an emptystomach so atnight seems to be best.
