Common problem of not testing the one thing that can really help! You could have a very high FT3 which is t good or it can be very low and show you aren't converting the inactive T4 which is high to the active T3 so raising your meds is t going to help and lowering them means your FT3 would fall even lower.
Self testing isn't cheap but we often have to do this to see what is really happening Blue Hotizon and MediChecks are recommended fed and they do have special offers. MediChecks ones are often on Thursday. There are both finger prick ones you can do yourself
If you can't do this then see if your doctor will test Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin. They help the Thyroid so much and help conversation so itsaswelm to get them optimal so if you get those results and post them we can comment on those they need to be optimum and not just in range
