Does anyone have a good way to do block and replace? What's the dangers?

Hi, glad to be intoroduced to a new group. I have hashis and have slipped into graves and having a horrible time with it!
Didn't work for me, I opted for RAI after 30 odd years of Graves ups and downs. Block and replace was the last straw.
My graves has been brought in by taking LOw dose naltrexone which shows the medication is working. But I have hit graves and not sure what to do now.
I thought they warn you when taking LDN that you may need to reduce thyroxine dose?
It sounds as if you may have become over replaced rather than having graves....unless of course you have the graves antibodies, but wouldn't LDN tackle any Graves' disease also?
And my doctor says it's not out of the ordinary to go from hashis to graves.
I'm not really sure how anyone 'slips' into Graves. Do you actually have the Graves antibodies, or have your levels just gone high?
I was not warned the hyper with LDN. I have always been hashis and this is why I am abit uneducated with this.
Now to figure out how to reverse the effects of hyperinflation level off
Hyper symptoms is what I meant
First thing you need to do is get hold of your blood test results - for as far back as you can. You need to know exactly what was tested, and what the results were. Post them on here, and then we'll be better able to help you - and don't forget the ranges.
At the moment, it's all a bit strange and vague. I have never heard of LDN triggering Graves, and I rather doubt it's possible. After all I've read about LDN, I think it would have been mentioned before now, if it were possible.
You cannot just assume that you have Graves, just because your Frees are high in range, or you TSH suppressed, you need to have the antibodies tested.
How long have you had the hyper symptoms? What exactly are you taking, and how much? All the details are important. Just making wild guesses is dangerous. Taking anti-thyroid drugs is not a thing to do unless you really need to.
I have Graves and opted to have my thyroid removed 4 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I no longer have to deal with the roller coaster of T4 and TSH fluctuations.... with no thyroid, my dose of Synthroid is consistent and stable.
Thank you! But my doctor isn't even talking removel of thyroid yet.
