nicky-nicky159 There is no 'Normal'. There are the ranges as you can see, and far as doctors are concerned as long as you come within the range then that's 'normal'.

However, it's not numbers that count, it's how you feel.

Your TSH is over range. Your FT4 is very low in range. You are Hypothyroid. You are under medicated.

You really need an increase in dose to get your TSH down to 1 or below and free Ts in the upper part of their reference ranges if that is where you feel best, as previously advised.

You also need vitamins and minerals tested as advised in your previous thread.

Nicky-nicky159,

You are under medicated. Most people will feel better with TSH 1.0 or lower and with T4 higher in range. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.

Nicky-nicky159,

You will have to make an appointment to speak to your GP or see GP in order to get your Levothyroxine dose increased.

So this test result is from one month after increase in dose from 75mcg to 100mcg?

Levo should always be taken on an empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after. Many take on waking, but lots find taking at bedtime can be more effective (& convenient )

As SeasideSusie says you must get vitamins tested - they can make huge difference. Always get the figures including ranges (figures in brackets). When on Levo we are often very low in these & need to supplement to get to top end of range

Also you need thyroid antibodies tested to see if you have autoimmune thyroid called Hashimoto's. If you do, then changing to gluten free diet may really help

Does your surgery do 'on the day' emergency appointments. At my surgery the wait is normally 3 weeks for a 'routine' or non emergency appointment, but sometimes when it can't wait you have to ask for an on the day appointment and give a plausible reason for it being an 'emergency'.

Not what you're looking for?
