Just wondering if anyone has knowledge of this. I have read it and I do have low basal body temperature and low bp and my symptoms are very much thyroid like. Will put it to doc on next appointment in two weeks. I wonder what he thinks or if he is aware of it. Any thoughts? X

Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome
Essjay16,
Wilson's syndrome, also referred to as Wilson's temperature syndrome, isn't an accepted diagnosis. Rather, Wilson's syndrome is a label applied to a collection of nonspecific symptoms in people whose thyroid hormone levels are normal.

Your GP will diagnose hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism on blood tests not symptoms. Your last thyroid blood tests were rather odd because FT3 7.5 was considerably over range. One would expect to see low FT3 with TSH 2.41 and FT4 10.6. A possible explanation is that you have autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) which can cause transient hyperthyroidism (high FT3 or FT4) but it doesn't explain why TSH isn't lower. Ask your GP to test thyroid peroxidase antibodies when he restests TSH, FT4 and FT3.
Clutter. Can't thank you enough for your advice. I had just googled "is Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome recognised by UK doctors" and found a lot of unfavourable information. I will definitely question the high t3 and ask for the Hashi antibodies test.
I really am very grateful. X
