Hi, if you post the ranges for the result - the numbered in brackets- and what medication you take someone will be able to give you advice
Hi, I have always been on 100mcg of levothyroxine. My results for Ft4 was 22.83 Range is (12.00-22.00) The Thyroglobulin was 340-600 Range is (0.00-115.00)
Sylus911,
Do you have a TSH and FT3 result too?
FT4 22.83 is very mildly over range. It's really only necessary to reduce Levothyroxine dose if you feel over medicated.
I assume you mean thyroglobulin antibodies are 340.60? If so, it means you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism, although in your case, it will have been the thyroidectomy which made you hypothyroid. Treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.
Hi Clutter, my tsh is 0.696(0.27-4.20) my t3 is 3.26 (3.10-6.80)
Why did you have thyroid removed?
High thyroglobulin antibodies can be due to Graves, Hashimoto's or a few other reasons

Have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin & B12 levels checked?
So have you had vitamin D checked since taking supplements? Do you know if your taking enough.
What was B12 level, on Levo it needs to be at top of range & you need to know folate level as they work together. Ferritin needs to be over 70 for thyroid hormones to work.
Your FT3 is quite low. Ask for referral back to endo to discuss option of adding small amount of T3 to Levo
Or email Louise at Thyroid Uk for list of Thyroid doctors - some private - some NHS

With thyroid issues we often need much higher than normal daily dose of vitamin D to keep level up at higher end of range, at about 100 nmol/L (Uk measurement)
Currently medics seem to have little idea how important good vitamin levels are for correct thyroid function.
Poor nutrient levels are often due to gut function/absorption being affected by low thyroid.
Then it becomes chicken & egg. Low thyroid leads to low nutrients, low nutrients mean thyroid hormones can't work and it spirals downwards
Supplementing to improve vitamins breaks that circle & helps thyroid hormones to work in cells
Apparently low vitamin D tends to lead to low vitamin B's as low vitamin D changes gut bacteria which can lead to low B.
Which perhaps may be why probiotics can also help as they improve gut bacteria
