Source of T3??

Please could someone advise me where to get T3 without a private prescription? Many thanks

Reading your other threads it seems you have only recently changed to NDT. Have you given it enough time ? Also it was suggested you needed good levels of B12 - VitD - Ferritin - Folate for the thyroid hormones to work well. Did you have them tested - if so what were the results ?

I'm probably jumping the gun slightly...i have been having problems on ndt. I managed to slowly raise it to 3/4 grain but it doesn't seem to be enough according to my last blood test and I have pounding heart, anxiety, restless sleep, acheing thyroid area and an increase of painful joints. I have ordered a blood test (incl antibodies and vits etc) which should arrive today and they seem to have a pretty fast turnaround with results so if my antibodies are raised i think the ndt may be causing the autoimmune condition to flare. Therefore I'd want to switch asap to t4/t3 and want to be prepared. I can go through the private gp I've been to in London but it's going to be expensive.

Are you gluten free ? - it could help with lowering anti-bodies .... and inflammation.

Thought I'd replied to this, sorry (super computer skills!)...no, I've not had any symptoms to suggest lack of tolerance to gluten but do have a cousin who is coeliac so I'm prepared to give it a go if my antibodies have increased.

You can be sensitive without having full blown symptoms/coeliac. Some things going on inside us rarely show as symptoms - all rather silent. Click onto my name on this post and have a read of my journey on my Profile - only a couple of minutes
