Hello, I am going to see a private Endo tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had any questions that would be good to ask and maybe what I should expect. Very nervous and anxious.
Thank you

What are you wanting to achieve from a visit to the Endo?
When I saw mine I wanted to see how open-minded he was...would he be flexible on treatment methods if Levo didn't improve my health?
I wanted an intelligent interpretation of my Blue Horizon test results and someone who knew what else I ought to be tested for as from ten minutes with my NHS GP I summised he knew a great deal less than I had learned on here in an hour or so.
What's your objective? I sort of have one when I pay privately for anything?
Tell him all your symptoms-if you look on the Thyroid Uk ditecthere is a list you can print off then annotate. Write down all you want to ask as once in the room mind often goes blank. You can always say that you have done thatvasxmemory notvreliable-another thyroid symptom. As ask and worry fears things you don't understand and is he open to alternative treatments if he feels they could help. If you have put weight on best not to make it sound overly important as may think that's all you are interested in so add it in your list but not at the top. I found a good NHS one who sent me for loads of tests and was very thorough but then retired!
Let us know how it goes and hope he helps.
