On the left is about 4 months ago. The right is current. Yet i still have my dr refusing to go beyond the standard testing. I suffer daily and sometimes the pressure in my head is unbearable. I can literally feel my thyroid squeezing around my neck.and now my head and face is becoming deformed. To think alot could be prevented if drs would take the time to listen to the patient when i tell her somthing is wrong. And when i tell her all my brothers and sisters and all their children and my children have a thyroid disorder. I dont feel im gonna live a whole lot longer. Im getting presdure in my chest and somtimes my heart pounds So hard i can hear it. I hope you all have better luck then i do

Can you get a print-out of your latest blood test results with the ranges and post them.
If you had them a long time ago you can get a private blood test from one of our recommended labs and if so, you will get a bigger picture as well as the T4 and T3 you can get a Free T4 and Free T3 as well.
It is ridiculous the unnecessary suffering and anguish people are made to go through.
I was another who was undiagnosed just because no one did a blood test at all. Many doctors couldn't analyse the patients clinical symptoms because they don't know any.
7658,
I felt very strange in my head with dizziness and fatigue before thyroid hormones were optimised with replacement meds .... these same issues you have been posting about for over a year.
Unfortunately doctors often fail to diagnose thyroid disorders due to wide test ranges and stringent guidelines that do not cover all eventualities.
If you post recent thyroid hormone test results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) members will comment. You have a right to see your medical records under the Data Protection Act 1998. Guidance on The Data Protection Act 1998 can be found at:

When doctors are uncooperative in testing TSH, T4 and T3 thyroid hormones, members use private labs.
Thankyou for your input. Im from the states and am not very well to do. Mostly because i have a hard time maintaining a job because of my health so im on state assistance. And that is limited. It takes me two months to get an non emergency appointmentt. And i dont habe the mon ey to get a privaste test but im gonna see what i can do
A squeezing in the neck and an inability to breathe properly and fatigue (tiredness that takes hours or even days to get over) are indications of an inward growing goitre which can only get worse. You need to go see an endocrinologist and get tests done to establish the complete facts. I suffered for months with similar symptoms until it was properly examined and was then admitted as an emergency case into hospital and a partial thyroidectomy then took place.
