Sorry to ask this question AGAIN, but I can't gather any information from previous posts due to the link ban.
About me: after 7+ yrs hypothyroid, I finally succeeded in getting a referral to an endocrinologist, who advised that I should take a T3/T4 mix, however it was rejected by my doctor as the local CCG stopped funding T3 six months ago (I could cry!)
So I'm biting the bullet and willing to fund it myself but don't know where to access genuine T3.
I would really appreciate any tips and advice on where to source it. I need to find an alternative to levothyroxine which doesn't seem to make a difference to my health.
Thanks very much in advance of replies!

Knowledgeable people may well be along shortly (I'm not one of them) and it would help them to make practical suggestions for you if you can post your last thyroid results and ranges, alongside your vitamin and mineral testing results, and indicate the medications and dosages recommended by the endocrinologist whom you saw.
I currently take 100 mcg a day ( last TSH level result 0.12 miu/L). My endo advised that if I got hold of T3, I should reduce Levo to 50 mcg a day and 10 mcg bd of T3.
Any advice? Unfortunately I didn't receive any suggestions from the health unlocked community of where I can obtain T3!
10mcg T3 is equivalent to 30mcg Levothyroxine so 50mcg Levothyroxine plus 10mcg T3 is only equivalent to 80mcg Levothyroxine.
If your FT4 is at the top of the range you could reduce Levothyroxine by 25mcg. If FT4 is only mid-range I wouldn't reduce Levothyroxine at all.
The T3 you get online is 25mcg so you will need to buy a pillcutter to quarter the 25mcg tablet into 4 x 6.25mcg doses. I would start by adding 6.25mcg to your Levothyroxine (you can take them together) and see how you tolerate the T3 for a week or two. If all is well you could add a 2nd 6.25mcg dose 8-12 hours after the first.
