NDT
Mollyjane I have just looked at your last post with your blood results. It looks as though you have a. Inversion problem so you need to address that. Have you had your Vit B12, Vit D, folate and Ferritin tested recently? They help your thyroid to convert and we are often low in these so I suspectvyou need to get that addressed. Taking NDT isn't going to help you much as you will still have the same problem and you may find that by addressing the problem you are fine.
Hi, thanks for replying. I am on 3 monthly b12 injections for pernicious anaemia from the NHS (although I do self inject on a monthly basis too). I get prescribed Acrete D3 for low Vitamin D which I take 2 x daily. I take folate myself but I am unable to take anything for low ferritin (which I've had in the past). I've tried ferrous sulphate which affects my tummy and trying fumerate and gluconate causes me to have terrible diaorea.
I have ordered the finger prick blood test to check on my levels so I'll see how I get on.
I was previously prescribed 100mcg of thyroxine by my GP and when I wasn't feeling any better and my blood work seemed to show that I was fine, I was referred to an Endo. The Endo said that " you don't have a problem with your thyroid" and told me to come off the thyroxine.
I had given up and had just accepted that maybe I was looking for something which isn't there. But I'm back....
