Conversion problem- how to decide if T3 or NDT best way forward?

Hello all- still at the beginning of my journey.

I'm working on getting optimum levels of vitamins and minerals etc but if I have a conversion problem (TSH 1.74 (0.27-4.2), FT4 19.89 (12-22), FT3 3.73 (3.1-6.8) how does one decide (i.e. What are the factors to consider other than availability) whether switching to NDT or supplementing T4 with T3 is the best way forward.

Thanks so much in advance.

Hattie007 There isn't really a deciding factor, more a case of try it and see what suits.

If you get Levo on prescription, I think it's better to try adding T3 first (just my opinion though). This means you can still get your Levo without charge and you have more freedom to find a combination of doses to suit. NDT has a fixed amount of T4 and T3 which may or may not be right for you.

If you use NDT then you're basically on your own. There are three Thai non-prescription brands that I know of, you may need to try more than one to find the most suitable. There will be VAT and a collection fee to pay which doesn't currently apply to importing T3.
