Can anyone shed some light??
Thats ridiculous, its plainly rising and you have symptoms. Suggest you get your antibodies tested privately and see if there is an auto immune cause, in which case its not going to get better on its own. Then download a checklist of symptoms, tick off the ones you have and write to the doc requesting a trial of replacement hormones or a referral to a competent endo who specialises in thyroid, not diabetes.
If its not auto immune, it may be a lack of iodine?

Just to agree with galathea that you might need to consider private blood tests - particularly if these were the only tests that were run rather than the ones reallyfedup123 mentioned in the comments here: healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
I will have to look into where to get those done privately. I'm not getting anywhere at my GP surgery, they are sticking to ' your thyroid is producing hormones so you won't benefit from treatment until your TSH is at 5.5. Also, Dr put me on folic acid because my folate levels were really low, I've been on them for 3 weeks and don't see any benefit from them.
You can read about the testing here: thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
Both offer frequent specials such as Thyroid Thursday or around holidays/Bank Holidays.
Put the folic acid in the bin and get yourself some folate. Folic acid is manmade and depending on your genes can build up in your blood stream and be nasty. Eat plenty green veg will also help x
I eat plenty of greens already x
You should get b12 tested as low folate and low b12 usually go together. If youre antibodies are positive then you do have hashimotos. Going gluten free and taking selenium will help reduce the antibodies but before u do that i would push doc for a trail of levo as its not that you may develop auto immune in future, you already have. These docs are so stupid its scary xx
I've seen 2 Drs in my practice and they both won't do anything yet, I feel so frustrated it's unreal, it's nice to be on here and be told that I'm not crazy x
You should also get tested for vitamin D deficiency as well because if you have hashimotos like me, your body can get deficient of vit D! I have unfortunately had to wait until my antibodies got to 1300 and my tsh 5.5 before they would put me on thyroxine! I'm into my 2nd week of taking them, been told it can take 2-3 weeks to feel any affect! I've also been told to take the tablet 1-2 before food and drink to give the tablets chance to absorb and with a full glass of water.
Make sure you also get vitamin D level checked & ferritin
These are tested with all thyroid tests by Medichecks or Blue Horizon- £99 - watch for money off offers
Going gluten free & good probiotic can help heal guts & lower antibodies
Selenium supplements can also help.
