Does anybody know if there is a problem with the supply of Erfa at the moment? I have a private prescription and I contacted the uk pharmacy I use today and they said it was out of stock, but as I only need prescription for one and a half grains they may be able to get it by Monday. Unfortunately I've run out completely.

Erfa out of stock?
Heyjude,
A Canadian member said there was a shortage of Erfa in Canada last week. I hope you find what you need. If not, ask your doctor to prescribe NatureThroid or WP.
HeyJude,
I wasn't told of a shortage of ERFA but when I placed my repeat prescription from the usual Doc with pharmacy the price had increased by almost 30% !!!!!! That's the second time in under a year, and I can't carry on paying these prices indefinitely so it looks like I may have to change to another brand and/or find a cheaper supplier.
Good luck in finding supplies.
Jo
My pharmacy has also told me out of stock. Will try asking for a different prescription

Just received message from Helvella with link from Canadian Erfa. 60 mg will be in stock from 30 June. I take 3 x 30 mg so i javen't had a problem. I use Springfield pharmacy, Richmond, Surrey, on a private prescription, but they do accept nhs prescriptions. They are very helpful. I phone through my order, scan and email the prescription, then post the original and it arrives the next day.
I miss the Bristol Support Group. I've been seeing a Private endo, Dr Singhal and been on Erfa for 18 months. Fatigue and brain fog improved but struggling with muscle weakness and pain. Took 50 mg thyroxine in addition, but made muscles even worse so stopped about 6 weeks ago.
Wondering if my erfa dose has been increased too slowly. I have adjusted my dose in between appointments with Dr Singhal, which he happily goes along with, so upped by 0.25 g two days ago.
Hope you're doing well
Judith
I miss the group too. I haven't been feeling great and has reduced my dose down as my Fitbit was showing a fast pulse sometimes. Lots of my original symptoms came back including headaches, dizziness, vertigo. I had a blood test which showed bottom of the range ft3 and ft4. I made the mistake of going to see my endo who then wrote to my GP. My lovely GP has retired and the new one won't now prescribe my NDT. I knew I was very lucky and one day my nhs prescriptions would end :(. On a more positive note I've gone back to my old dose of 2.25 grains and am feeling much better. I have an appointment with new GP on Wednesday to try and persuade him to prescribe - unlikely but fingers crossed. How much is a private prescription for Erfa? X
Thanks. So far i've been ok as i take 90 mg in 30 mg doses.
