Hi, does anyone else wake up shattered, tinnitus at it's worst and feeling dreadful. It can last a couple of hours and sometimes all day. But every single morning I wake feeling like death. On 1.75 grains NDT now and slowly increasing but was like this on 175 levo. Could it be cortisol? Will get a check if that's the case.

I have the same problem. I've never been a morning person, and it gets worse the older I get.
I have (or had) high cortisol. But I think any level of cortisol which isn't ideal, low or high, makes mornings hell for the sufferer.
I have dreadful tinnitus, and it does tend to be more noticeable at each end of the day.

Tinnitus is a clinical symptom of hypothyroidism. Hopefully, as you increase your dose it might resolve. I hope it does as it must be extremely wearing. Of course sometimes it is caused due to damage to eardrum.
Skyebeardie,
You might try splitting you NDT dose and taking the second dose at bedtime to see whether that makes any difference.
Skybeardie, 1.75 grains of NDT is equivalent to 112.5 mgs of T4, so you are not yet up to the amount of Levo you were taking. Hopefully, as you raise your dose of NDT, these unpleasant symptoms will resolve themselves.

You could take some herbal adaptogens, such as Ashwagandha to see if you feel any better. They improve the health of the adrenal system. If you want your adrenals tested, this link will take you to the Genova Diagnostics web site.
I have those symptoms when my adrenals are low. Worth checking out your cortisol levels, and doing sitting vs standing blood pressure and temps.
I have tinnitus too! Its getting worse, normally I hear it when its quiet or when Im in bed...now I can hear it in the car driving. Trying so hard to block it out and concentrate on other sounds. I told my endo and as per he blamed everything on anything buy my hypothyroidism. Can it improve with medication? I thought that was it for life for me.

It's a complete pain. I'm hoping that raising my B12 and NDT will help but it's a slow process. I completely sympathise, I've forgotten how quiet it can be.
I agree with Shaws' comment below. Sounds like you're still very hypothyroid. I have been very hypothyroid for six months, slowly increasing my NDT. I now realise that I need to increase it a lot more (as my Dr tells me). But I was reacting on a day to day basis, thinking I had some perspective, but my memory was unreliable. I started keeping a chart. It helps to have an external measure of how you are going and how much you are taking - a chart and a diary, or you tend to think you're going backwards when you're going forwards, if you get what I mean. 1.75 NDT isn't much. Good luck.
