Shanza,
How much Levothyroxine are you taking and what are your most recent TSH, FT4, FT3 and ranges (figures in brackets after results)?
Was slightly hyper taking 100mcg liquid levothyroxine in Feb for these results:
T4: 103 (59-154)
Tsh:0.02 (0.27-4.2)
Free thyroxine: 20 (12-22)
Free T3: 4.6 (3.1-6.8)
T3:1.5 (1.3-3.1)
Since, have dropped to 80mcg
Shanza,
1 grain NDT is equivalent to 65mcg Levothyroxine. You could switch straight over to 1 grain NDT and then increase in 1/4 grain increments at 2 week intervals until symptoms improve. I would not increase past 2 grains without having a FT3 test to check levels and make sure FT3 remains within range.
Unless you are already taking T3 you must start low and build up over a few weeks as the T3 is too much for the body to take all at once.
