Blood results ....maybe as good as it gets?

Hi there I was diagnosed in January...so am on my second change of meds ....just got blood tests back.

TSH level. 0.23 mu/L. (0.27 - 4.2)

serum free T4 19.3 pool/L (12.0-22.0)

I feel ok some days...but have no stamina...am thinking it will still take some time for things to settle, thyroid time seems different from ordinary time.

Any comments and advice welcome.

You have no idea how good it can get because you haven't had all the tests - the NHS, in all its wisdom, refuses to do them. Your TSH and FT4 look good, but you might not be converting. To know that, you have to test your FT4 and FT3 at the same time. So, you need :

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPoab

TgAB

vit D

vit B12

folate

ferritin

Only when you have all those results will you really know what's going on. But, you'll have to do them privately. Details of private testing on ThyroidUK's main page.

You're right, Thyroid time is different. Your biochemistry is good with TSH low and FT4 high in range so you are optimally medicated but symptoms can lag behind good biochemistry by several months.

If you're not feeling much better in 6-8 weeks it may be worth ordering the tests GreyGoose recommended above from thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
