Hiya random question.... I am hypo and eating gf. On levo, lisinopril and fexofenadine. Just lately I have had a salty taste in my mouth which I thought was from my homemade bread so put less salt in it but today I had it when all I had was two cups of tea. Any ideas what could cause this? Thanks in advance 😄

I have had a salty taste in my mouth for over two years which I initially put down to medicating Levothyroxine. It comes and goes with intensity and has changed to sweet or sometimes an unpleasant taste. I also suffered an episode of psychosis and since have suffered weird saliva issues where my saliva feels thick and gooey and my mouth is dry.
I have Hashimotos, initially medicating Levo, then adding T3 and now medicate NDT. All low thyroid hormone and Hashi issues have totally resolved, except for these mouth problems.
I have had many tests at the Oral Department in Guys Hospital including comprehensive blood counts, checks for other auto immune disease and Ultra Sound examinations on both left & right submandibular and parotid salivary glands but everything is normal.
