Feeling fed up... Still without a diagnosis. 2 years of testing resulting with elevated tpo levels, with symptoms of eyelid lag, fever, joint/muscle pain, sudden weight gain that doesn't move, heartburn, light sensitive etc. Hoping my endo appointment next month gives my some hope!
I do a supporting family, so that helps!

High thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). When thyroid hormone levels are within range it means you have euthyroid Hashimoto's. There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Treatment is for the low thyroid levels it eventually causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies and it may slow progression to hypothyroidism.
Hashi's patients often have low vitamin and minerals so ask your GP to test ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate. Low or deficient vitamin D can cause significant joint and muscle pain.
