Initially taking 150 of Levo, followed after 30mins by 150 Sertraline.

Reading that latter can interfere so wonder what else can be taken.

If you take them at opposite ends of the day you should be fine 😊

Try and leave it 4 hours then. That should be ok.

Changing antidepressants isn't as simple as switching one brand for another unfortunately, but you can always check with your doctor just in case 😊

Since I taking cipralex (at 8 pm), my fT4 dropped from 22 to 18.43, but I feel fine. I take 125levo +10 T3 first in the morning.

Ask doctor to give you a trial of T3 added to your levothyroxine. He can drop 60mcg levo and add 20mcg T3. If you are in the UK, due to the exhorbitant cost for T3 which has risen astronomically T3 is being banned from prescriptions.

However, we can still source T3 on our own but no information is posted on the open forum.

Levothyroxine is inactive and has to convert to T3 (also called liothyronine). T3 is the only active thyroid hormone and it is needed in all of our receptor cells and we have billions in our body.

The brain has the most T3 receptor cells and you probably don't know how much Free T3 or Free T4 is circulating in your blood as they rarely do these.

In the above you will see why FT4 and FT3 are important.

We have to read, learn, ask questions if we want to relieve all of our clinical symptoms. Always get a print-out of your results with the ranges. We are entitled to them. Labs differ in their ranges so that's why they have to be stated.

CaptainBlood,

For maximum absorption Levothyroxine should be taken with water 1 hour before, or 2 hours after, food and drink, 2 hours away from other medication and supplements, and 4 hours away from calcium, iron, vitamin D supplements and oestrogen.

There is little point in taking thyroid meds and anti-depressants as they will cancel out the thyroid meds.
