Ok sorry to sound dramatic but I'm head banging again.
I've been on T3 a few years now and yes it might need tweaking but feeling ok.
My current endo. was not happy with me taking T3 but I would not change to T4. Doc stopped prescribing and referred me to another hospital but this is just as bad and I am now back on T4 with a little T3 to keep my happy.
According to the new endo. T3 will kill me, it's not proven and has been concocted by the devil. ( I did ask about natural alternatives and got the same reaction.)When I asked her about my symptoms (high bp and dizziness) these were poo pooed as nonsense.
Since taking the T4 (at night) I have had a tight chest and heart flutters. I wake up feeling hungover.
I did get her to do "other bloods" including B12 but only after asking and telling her my daughter is on B12 injections.
Where do I go from here??

I have read that it takes longer than that to clear the body - but I think it best to just look at your results with supplementation in mind. It only shows you the amount in the blood anyway and NOT what is in the cells where it is needed.
Surely you know from following this forum the Endo is talking nonesense. Time to go it alone - everyone here will help and support you
What's not proven? Liothyronine has been around 50+ years and JFK was treated with it before Levothyroxine was invented. There have been two long term observational studies which find Liothyronine safe.
I had a heated debate with my endo about the benefits of T3 3 years ago. He said there was no evidence that it was beneficial. I told him I didn't care what evidence there was or wasn't and that I felt much better. He agreed my health was much improved in the six months I had been self-medicating since I'd last seen him and added T3 to my prescription.
If you felt better on T3 only or need more T3 added to Levothyroxine you aren't going to feel well with an endo who wants you on minimal T3 and maximum T4.
Endo's do this knowing the small amount they give you will make no difference. Mine did the same but luckily my GP increased dosage. Still not on enough though 😊
