Hi Lauren85,

The main foods I avoid are dairy, gluten and soya. All goitrogenic vegetables (cruciferous) are okay in moderation so long as they are well cooked.

Best wishes,

Pete

PeteRad,

Goitrogenic vegetables reduce thyroid hormone so raw goitrogens would be very good for hyperthyroid patients.

Lauren85,

Everyone should avoid unfermented soy which is thyroid unfriendly. If you have autoimmune hyperthyroidism (Graves Disease) it might be helpful to adopt 100% gluten-free diet but if not you should eat whatever you wish.
