Am wondering what you mean by "new treatment" - did you see something mentioned? The more you can explain, the better the answers you are likely to get.

By the way, "levothyroxine" was just a tightening up of the naming convention and is exactly the same medicine as when it was called "thyroxine" - only the name changed.

No problem (for us!)

Thing is, there are possibilities other than levothyroxine but it would really help if you explained a bit more about your situation.

Do you mean NDT? That is Natural Dessicated Thyroid and many of us use it as an alternative to levothyroxine. There are also vitamin and mineral deficiencies that we test for as they can also make us feel ill and many folk that have thyroid issues also have problems absorbing nutrients from food so have to supplement. If you get on the Thyroid UK website you can have a read at your leisure..all of the info is there and then if you have any questions/want more advice you can start a new post on here x

Thank you for your advice I need to look in to my situation more . This is some thing new to me even though I had my Thyroid removed 40 years ago . No one ever told me about alternative treatment . x
