You need to take folate as well. Worth going over to the pernicious anaemia on healthunlocked for proper advice.
Thank you
I see you have posted on the PAS Forum and have been told your B12 results look OK. I think in a healthy person that is fine - however when you are Hypo with Hashimotos - having optimal results is helpful. No science to offer you - but as you know personal experiences among the 51K people here counts for a great deal. Most people report improvements with results nearer the top of the range. Ferritin and Folate are suggested to be good at around halfway and VitD around 100 +
Sally Pacholok in her book - Could it Be B12 ? - mentions that anything below a 1000 can be the cause of cognitive decline. Have an inkling that is around 500 in the UK measurement. As the Thyroid affects every one of the trillions and trillions of cells in the body - it makes sense that everything needs to be optimal in order to have enough to go around That includes vitamins and minerals ....
I know - it is confusing. Find a mentor you trust and stick with them - is my advice ....
Thank you
You need to take B12 and folate (methylcobalamin and methylfolate) as both results are poor.
