Good grief, you need a new Dr.

Dose should only ever be increased by 25mcg at a time.

Sadly Hashimoto's is just not understood by most GP's, or that the gut, gluten and nutrient levels are important

Do you have high antibodies?

What are you latest test results

Well, post them again, so we don't have to spend hours looking for them.

Your antibodies are very high in last test.

Are you managing to stay really gluten free. You need to watch for hidden gluten in things like beer, sausages, soy sauce, marmite, etc Read the labels on any processed food carefully.

If you can't manage increasing the thyroxine up from 75 mcg to 100 mcg in one go, you can take 75mcg one day and 100 mcg next day.

Ask your doctor to check your levels of B12, Folate, vitamin D and ferritin. These are often too low when we have Hashimoto's. They need to be very good, for us to be abe to use the thyroxine

When you get results post them on here

Also thyroxine must be taken on an empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after. (No coffee or tea) Many take on waking, but can be more convenient and recent research, suggests perhaps is more effective taken at bedtime. (Must be at least two hours after eating)

Magnesium can help with constipation. Also good to take magnesium if you are taking vitamin D supplements.

Magnesium needs to be taken 4 hours apart from taking thyroxine, and better to take afternoon or evening as it can make you feel calm and sleepy.

Start with low dose. Calm vitality magnesium is a powder, that you mix with warm water, easy to adjust dose so you can start very low - Just a 1/4 teaspoon

No point taking split doses of levo as it takes days to kick in, not hours. Sounds like your doctor is lost. I'd try a 25 increase every other day to start with (every day if you can tolerate it) and see how you feel in a month. You also need optimum B12, folate, D3 and ferritin to be able to use the levo, so get those tested and report back with all your blood results.

Many people with hashis feel better going gluten-free as it helps to mitigate the autimmune attacks. Also suppressed TSH tends to help with the autoimmune side, as does supplementing selenium.

Think they are on PA site.

Are you still taking Folate supplements, B12 lozenges and iron supplements along with vitamin C?

Folate, ferritin and B12 were low three months ago.

Did you manage to get Dr to test vitamin D levels? Or did you get the private test as recommended by SeasideSusie- - sent by post - costs £28
