I can't say I read her site very often, but she is considered to be "serious", one of the big names from the USA, and not motivated entirely by profit. (She has a thyroid condition of her own.)
She must have written hundreds, if not thousands, of thyroid-related articles over the last 20 years.
Oh 😏 Trust the sensible one to be looked down on by the endos.
I'm no good at th science bit ,BUT if a healthy thyroid produces 5 (is it) hormones for the body to work well why on earth does anyone think one will do it ????
I paint in oils and the colour mix is so important. How much more complicated is the body to work well. 🤔🤔
She is not medically trained but a patient like us who knows how debilitating it can be but she does a lot of research, asked a lot of questions and I understand she has a medic who looks over her advice before it is published.
When I was first diagnosed she was my only contact with anything thyroid related and I've learned a lot from her.
I found Thyroid for Dummies very informative although a bit out of date .The UK edition by a US doctor and a former UK GP gives as you might expect the UK NHS line re T4 monotherapy but it does cautiously refer to T3 as being thought by some as important to add and views might change.Unfortunately a decade on nothing has changed.
Hi Zorica28 the book from my library was The Thyroid Diet. I was looking for some interesting recipes but found the info in it much more interesting and helpful
