I have a history of political activism when I feel it is necessary, and for the past few weeks, I cannot sit aside and watch, so Ive become re-engaged. Seems like I have to think about the level of involvement or typre (a large crwod causes me stress and symptoms). Does anyone else notice this and have any suggestions? Thank you.

Stress and symptoms
Definitely. I'm mostly housebound, nearly always exhausted and brain-fogged, so I'm limited to online petitions, plus the occasional email if the fog lifts. It isn't much, and I think only the largest petitions have any effect at all, but it's better than nothing. We shouldn't beat ourselves up about our limitations.
oh don't discount the online petitions! They are a voice and do have some influence. So glad to know there are others doing what we can. Thank you.
Me took, I spent most of the 1990s on demos. Haven't done much for a long time but like you am feeling the need to stand up and be counted. I think one way may be not to spread one's energy too widely. Find one pressure group to join and help and go from there. It can be very rewarding when the group makes some gains and you feel you are making a difference albeit a small one.
good idea. My most prominent symptoms are vertigo and insomnia. I seem to have settled into one organization that I can work with behind the scenes. Sunday we had 70000 people on a conference call with the head of the ACLU. Spreading info and making calls is just a s important as the front lines. Its hard not to do more, but if I'm falling over and nauseous that is no help either. I guess in a way I'm glad to know what my health issues are? sigh thanks for the response.
Ah you are from the US. I went on the women's march here in London. Good luck to you.
Yes I am and thank you so very much for your support! Its very challenging but necessary.
