I read this and got quite a shock! So it's not just doctors treating thyroid patients wrongly! Doctors are also giving out other medications that can lead to death!
Most meds treat the symptoms and not the underlying causes. Hence the regulators keep a tight reign on inappropriate ranges/level that keep so many of us unwell. Keep on reading

Quite a few times we read of a 'miracle' drug only to find that later on patients develop problems and it's withdrawn.
