Desiccated thyroid and levothyroxine

Hi everyone I wonder if you could give me some advice..

My boyfriend takes 100mg of levothyroxine a day, how much desiccated Thyroid (Erfa) should he take and should he ween himself off levothyroxine and take a lower dose of both levo and Erfa to begin with?

If yes, for how long..?

100mcg Levothyroxine is roughly equivalent to 1.5 grains (90mg) Erfa. It's probably best to reduce Levothyroxine to 25mcg and introduce 1 grain (60mg) Erfa for 2 weeks and then drop the 25mcg Levothyroxine and increase Erfa to 1.5 grains.

The Erfa tablets are 30mg each, so is one grain 60mg? Thank you x

Start the NDT slowly about 1/4 grain a day and build it up till there are NO symptoms the T3 may be a shock to the system at first so build up the dose over a few weeks.
