There are alot of supplements on the market which have vitamins that claim to assist on thyroid working properly. Can these supplements be taken with Levo? My doctor advised me not to take L-tyrosine with Levo, But when the Pharmacist says it should be safe to take together. Almost all the thyoid support formulas contain this ingredient. I am so confused I dont know what is right.

Faaiza-k,
If you are optimally dosed on Levothyroxine you should not need a thyroid supplement. If you post your thyroid results and ranges members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.
I should think the pharmacist is the best person to ask about drug and supplement interactions. If you take L-tyrosine take it 2 hours away from Levothyroxine.
Thyroid supplements are not helpful, they don't do anything to revive a failing gland. What you should do is get your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested, and supplement with what, and how much, you really need. Not an arbitary bunch of vitamins and minerals, that shouldn't all be taken together, anyway.
I imagine they all contain iodine, as well as tyrosine. Iodine and tyrosine are the ingredients of thyroid hormone. But, if half your factory has burnt down, shovelling in more raw goods, is not going to increase production, just add more fuel to the fire.
I will be testing again this month, these are my results on 23/06/2016:
S-TSH 4.59 uIU/ml
S-VT4 13.5 pmol/L
The doctor did not test T3.
