Hi I was reading this forum before and decided to join but now when I did I can't see any latest posts, only few suggested to me, I can't see nothing else. I don't even know how I will see replies to question of mine but in case I do please help.

Welcome to the forum, Ruby0.

Click on Posts or Home on the ThyroidUK banner at the top of the page and you will be able to see latest posts.

You will be sent an email notification when you have a reply and can click on it to read your replies. You will also be sent an onsite notification which is a red dot above the bell on the HealthUnlocked banner at the very top of the page.

Thank you. But I can see Posts or Home only when I look at my message, when I login they are not there, why is that?

This is strange, I can see everything normally, I wonder are they going to change it for all of us? Why they make things more complicated?

What happens if you login and use this link:

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

That should take you to the posts. (Take a copy of the link, logout, login and then use the saved link.)

Admins - for better or for worse - do not necessarily see exactly what you are seeing.

HU have been implementing changes to the posts members see - they think they are presenting relevant, useful and meaningful posts. I have grave doubts but as I don't see them, I cannot be sure.

Thanks. I can see new posts only on that way. Otherwise when I login only things I can see is "write a post", "connect with others" and then I can see samples of a few posts that are usually old and after that I have list of suggestions to choose from if I have thyroid cancer, on which medications I am and so on and those posts are usually several years old! I can see it normally only with this link but is there something in settings where I can change this since it's really stupid and unuseful, some people might even give up when they see this.

One more thing, when I go to this link I can't see my post. This is really strange, can others see it? I can go to it only through my pofile.

I have just posted your report to see whether other admins are seeing people with the same issue.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to let us know.

Afraid I cannot explain it. Seems bizarre choices and we (admins of many forums) have told HU we are not convinced by their ongoing changes. Recent posts/responses in NewsFeed is so logical.

Yes, it's so complicated that it took me 2 days to figure out how this works :) I don't think it's a good thing, not all of us are handy with computers.

in reply tohelvella

Oops, I can see it only when I press "recently active". My god why is this so complicated? Are all new members seeing it like this?

I don't know.

The important thing is that you are and it is causing you a problem.

When you see a user name of Hidden, it means that the person is no longer a member of this forum.

We often close posts that were originated by people who have left - there is no point in wasting our time making replies. Occasionally, the thread might still be active and popular and will be left. More often, it is simply a case of none of the admins noticing!

I shall now be closing this post to replies.
