Nature-Throid was released in the 1930s, making it one of the first available medications for hypothyroidism. To date, Nature-Throid has never been FDA recalled for inconsistent T4 or T3 hormones. The hypoallergenic and affordable medication is still in high demand by doctors and patients alike.
T4 & T3 replacement hormones (desiccated porcine thyroid)

WP Thyroid is available.
Westhroid is not longer marketed!
To be more helpful, RLC used to make Nature-Throid and Westhroid. For many years, the products were absolutely identical.
RLC then produced Westhroid P which had very few ingredients (mostly inulin - a sugar from chicory) which was intended to avoid all the various issues some people have. At the same time, more or less, they also stopped selling Westhroid.
This name (Westhroid P) was confusing because people thought it was the same as the old Westhroid. So RLC changed the name to WP Thyroid.
Far more information here:
I'm sure someone told me last year that the Westhroid was old stock.
RLC do WP & Naturethroid.

Anything still around with the name Westhroid on the bottle is now very old stock indeed. It's years now since that name was in use
The actual products are called WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid

I have them both in my fridge next to the nice T3, & the nasty Thyro-Gold.
Why do you think Thyro-gold is nasty please?
Hi Mary,
It make me itch so much, my clothes hurt, & I couldn't stop scratching, Even my softest cotton clothing was uncomfortable & a bra was unbearable. My lips also prickle & burn in a very unpleasant way, much more so than the tingle I get from too much WP. I tried a small quantity again, once I'd found the dose of WP that I was happy with, but it did the same thing. I usually respond well to herbal meds, so it could be the foskolii rather than the NDT content. An expensive mistake to have bought it!
Have you taken it?

So if I've been taking westhroid for a few years and change to WP it's not drastically? Is that right? I can still get the westhroid but they always did it in 3 grains and now it's only the 2 grains plus the price has increased.x
For many people it would be no big deal. Some might need a small dose adjustment.
I have recently bought Westhroid from USA from a reliable source - My bottle says exp 8/18 and manufactured by RLC labs - so I don't think they are old stock (?) . So from what I understand about this thread is that there is WP and Westhroid and that WP is the preferred tablet? I just noticed on that site that it says Armour is not gluten free which worries me as that is what I am finishing taking before I start on the Westhroid - I am Coeliac so this is important for me.

Thank you for you're reply..such a mine feild!!! Oh yes armour isn't gluten free... Yes I think the purest is WP...I've brought what you have for a few years and is dated 4/18 so not old stock but they aren't making it in 3 grains anymore and are dwindling the westrhyoid out.
