T3 has arrived! Help with dosage needed

Hi Everyone

I recently posted about ordering T3 from Greece, which has now arrived. I would like your help with starting dose. I am currently on 100mcg Levo and my last set of results were (Oct 16)

FT3 - 4.5 (3.1 - 6.8)

FT4 - 18.75 (12 - 22)

TSH - 0.45 (0.27 - 4.2)

I am hoping that I will only need a small amount of T3 to up my FT3 levels but should I lower my T4 or stay on 100mcg? My T3 tablets are 25mcg.

siddooo1, As your FT3 wasn't especially low, I would start cautiously by keeping your levothyroxine dose as it is and adding just 6mcg T3 (i.e. one quarter of the 25mcg tablet) daily to start with. See how that goes for a while.

Hi RedApple,

That's what I was thinking so many thanks for replying. I am hoping to just raise my FT3 a bit, in a bid to get rid of symptoms I am still suffering from.
