Is it worth testing antibodies again?

I am just about to order my thyroid check with Medicheck as they have some good offers at present, and i am due a re test in 4 weeks.

I had my antibodies tested in January, March and July. The results were

January 2016

Anti- Thyroidperoxidase abs 11 <34

Anti - Thyroglobulin Abs <10.000 <115

March 2016

Anti- Thyroidperoxidase abs 10.7 <34

Anti - Thyroglobulin Abs <10.000 <115

July 2016

Anti- Thyroidperoxidase abs 6.71 <34

Anti - Thyroglobulin Abs 12.440 <115

I am going to order the test that tests TSH, FT4 and FT3. I have been on levo 4 months (May) now and recently increased to 50mg. My TSH in May was 9.28, it went down to 6.8 by July and 2 weeks ago jumped back up to 7.9. So I had an increase to 50mg.

Is there any point in re testing antibodies? just that increases the cost of the test. My last 2 have been normal.

I wouldn't bother. They're all normal, aren't they? And recent.

I have been on Levo for around 3 years always had antibodies checked a couple of times a year and they were always negative. Had them done just a while back and the tpo is now slightly raised, 3 months before it was ok. I was originally only just over 5 for Tsh so was sub clinical with symptoms.

Would it have happened anyway? Is it the Levo or not?

No idea!

Maybe a good idea if you just had them tested annually to see if they change?
