Does anyone have aching painful thighs and tendonitis in them? This started about two months after starting NDT.I wondered if it was a coincidence or not.

Aching thighs
Oh yes, I always get aching thighs when I am under medicated. In fact 20years ago that was the symptom that took me to see the GP. Sadly I was not diagnosed for a further 10 years.
Sometimes the pain in my thighs is intolerable. Like a nagging tooth ache.
.... try looking at Ilio Tibia Band exercises on You Tube. I was being treated for sciatica on both sides - only to find it was the ITB and the Fascia Latta causing problems. They both need regular stretching in my case ......
I agree with the under dosing too
I have aching and extreme weakness in my thighs which has ben attributed to Osteomalacia due to not being able to absorb Vitamin D.
Tendonitis can be related to be hypothyroid. For me, when I have been under medicated, tendonitis in one leg (achilles and thigh) and lower back pain are the first signs that I'm in hypothyroid range. The leg areas are often tender with some inflammation. When I'm properly medicated, those symptoms disappear. The only way to know for sure is by checking your levels with another blood test.
Yes, me too. Aching in thighs is one of the few lingering hypo symptoms I still have after switching to Armour NDT. Problem is that if I increase my NDT dose my blood pressure(BP) goes too high. So, I decided aching thighs was easier and less scary to manage than high BP.
AND having said all that, I have noticed that if I ride my bike regularly my thighs act normally for a while. But, I have to do a lot of bike riding to keep up that feeling of normality.
Intermittent claudication is a symptom of underactive thyroid, after 25 years of treatment mine still hasn't gone.
