I am in a tricky situation as those who are following my story know!!!
Despite conflicting blood results, one set showing high tsh and high frees and the other set showing undwrmedicatuon, I have been advised to come off all Meds.
My reflexes and temperatures are good and fairly stable between 36.2-36.6.
However I don’t rwally feel any better and now I have got unbearable aches on my legs. Waking up feeling like I’ve done a workout and just need my feet up.
Does this sound like I NEED medication? Please respond with advice or thoughts.

I’m been experiencing awful muscle stiffness, I look like an old woman getting out of bed in the mornings
I was advised on another thyroid forum it is lactic acid build up to do with thyroid issue. (Google it)
Anyway, I’ve brought some good quality coconut oil and I have been rubbing it at night all over my achy muscles. I think there are massages for lactic issues.
It has helped a lot, it’s suppose to help inflammation too.
I have a pituitary issue and my bloods were 'non suppressed tsh and free t4 just above range. I have a lot of pains in the muscles in my legs. I am assuming it is another hormone that is causing the pains- waiting for more tests to find out.
yes. the worst fatigue. I am literally exhausted from the moment I wake up... somedays I just want to cry when I wake up as I cant work out how I will get through the day I am so tired. I cant exercise any more as the pain is too bad afterwards. I am in pain from walking up the stairs. Sounds so dramatic and not like me at all. I used to be someone who was never ill, ran a huge team in a global bank, have 4 kids and did all my own housework and ran 10km in my lunchtimes........ now am just pathetic. I was on hrt for early menopause and I had low estrogen but I have had to stop taking it for now so that I can have the right tests for growth hormone and secondary adrenal insufficiency. Apparently when you have a pituitary issue causing hypopituitarism, the first hormone to go is growth, then estrogen, then your acth (cortisol) and thryroid go funny..........seems they can all cause exhaustion, low mood, dizziness and muscle aches...... I am having the insulin tolerance test in a few weeks and having my thyroid function tested again. In the past 2 months I have also developed a goiter bizarrely. Anyway.
Hopefully you will get to the bottom of it all soon.
I went back to the same private lab for repeat bloods to get a better comparison of the thyroid levels and they came back very similar.
Yes- I had a scan in march and they found the pituitary tumour. I had a very large brain tumour 16 years ago on another part of my brain and I was worried it had regrown because of the way I was feeling (which is why I had the scan) and luckily the old tumour hadn't regrown but they found the pituitary tumour instead. on way hand it is great knowing what is causing it, as I know I am not going mad or imagining it all but it Is so annoying as being on the pituitary it impacts so so so so many things in your body. The hardest thing is on the outside I look the same so children/husband/friends just don't realise that on the inside my body feels like I am falling apart, and I feel really really ill all the time and just want to go to bed! .................
Anyway, we must all stay positive. Tests will hopefully get to bottom of it all and then finally some treatment! Really hope will get your scan and answers soon!
