Thank you Shaws - very interesting. The GP keeps trying to push statins onto my fairly fit 67 year old mum. They did her risk factor for dying from some heart related problem; it was 4% and they're still pushing these blooming things. It drives me nuts. NUTS!

A pill for every ill and more pills for the ills created by the pill.

The links below are previous re Dr K. He is not afraid of going against the guidelines re cholesterol. Maybe run off the 'What really causes heart disease' for your Mum's doctor.

It's the same for symptoms of hypo, a pill for every ailment instead of a decent dose or combo for patients.
