Cold feeling
Stacie,
Welcome to our forum.
Feeling cold is indicative of low thyroid hormone. That inner cold is the worst and I remember feeling painfully freezing inside, even laying in a hot bath.
My temps have risen with optimal thyroid hormone & nutrients.
If you post any recent test results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) , members will comment.
So should i ask 4 a throid test xx
Stacie,
If you feel cold & lethargic, ask your doctor to check your thyroid hormone levels . Ideally he would test TSH, T4 & T3.
When members' doctors are uncooperative, they use private labs - link below.
eljii,
Yes, taking temps (& pulse) is a good way of monitoring how well our bodies are utilising an amount of medicated thyroid hormone (or not ! ) but even after achieving good thyroid hormone levels, I have felt warm to the touch (by others) whilst being painfully frozen inside and still recorded with normal temps. We know that symptoms often lag behind good biochemistry so maybe the same can be said for good temps ? ? ...
This inner coldness is one not normal or believed by many of those who haven't experienced it. Some bodies seem to go berserk & exhibit very weird symptoms not admitted to anyone but here, when expected to live with constant low thyroid hormone.
Now, with over a year of optimal thyroid hormone, this is one of my symptoms which I was most pleased to resolve (together with brain fog), and wallow in delicious warmness.... haha ... still suffer painful cold knees though, especially in a draught that nobody else recognises ! ! . I have read some people's temps never recover, even when they finally manage to meet their thyroid hormones replacement requirements, regardless of what the thermometer says.
