Supplements to ease thyroid fatigue?

Can I do/take anything whilst I am adjusting to my new level of thyroxine (now gone up from 50 to 75). Not sue for a re-test for around 8 weeks. My Main symptom is sheer exhaustion. The others (weight gain/no loss, hair loss, achey joints, brain fog) I can cope with.

CJT110814 Patience is needed when trying to find the correct dose of thyroxine for newly/recently diagnosed hypo patients. It takes about 6 weeks to feel the full effect of a dose increase.

You were asked about vitamin and mineral test results in your previous post. If you can get the actual results, with reference ranges, and post them on here then members can advise if there are any deficiencies that need addressing and suggest supplements where necessary.

Folate

'Normal' or 'in range' isn't good enough, it's the actual figures that are needed. So if those tests have been done then ask your surgery for a print out of the results and post them on here for members to comment.

And when your thyroid tests are repeated in 8 weeks time, ask for antibodies to be tested also so that you can rule out (or in) Hashi's. Not all hypothyroidism is autoimmune, mine certainly isn't, it just happened some time after giving birth to my second child.

It's a time game. I am in the same position in that my dose was increased and then decreased! Mine has been reduced to 200mgs a day plus I was diagnosed with diabetes 6 months ago. Thyroid and diabetes going and in hand apparently,vtaken thyroxine for30 years so not too bad. It difficult to balance the drugs so I can sympathise, I know that I am not taking enough thyroxine but I just have to wait and start again!! Can't sleep.despite feeling knackered, it's horrible and debilitating.
