Hi there I was just wondering if it is ok to take digestive enzymes with graves disease. I'm currently taking 10mg a day of carbimazole for my overactive thyroid. I know this might sound like a thick thing to ask I'm just cautious of taking anything that could make my thyroid worse as it finally seems to be settling down now after a very long time.

Many thanks

Dana,

If you have gut issues, digestive enzymes may help as will take the stress off the stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, etc by helping to break down difficult-to-digest proteins, starches and fats. They can be taken with Graves Disease as will only replace those missing gut enzymes, and help with digestion & absorption of vital nutrients.
